MDDA Retreat – Strategic Planning in Penang from 15 -17 Oct 2019 - Day 1
MDDA Retreat for Strategic Planning Session is held in Penang from 15-17 October 2019 to set the direction for the Association for the next 3 years. Various issues and challenges of the dental industry were discussed. Ideas and proposals from the participants including current and previous Board of Committees were recorded.
Our main focus is on issues and activities that are more concern to the members. Follow by appointment of various division chairman to carry out plans for the Association. Beside the 2 daily meetings from 2pm-6pm and 8am-6pm, sightseeing around Penang and networking dinner with Penang members were arranged.

A networking dinner with Penang members was arranged during this MDDA Retreat for Strategic Planning Session at Oriental Seafood Restaurant, Gurney.

MDDA Retreat for Strategic Planning Session is held in Penang from 15-17 October 2019 to set the direction for the Association for the next 3 years. After 2 days of brainstorming and discussion, the key proposals of the MDDA Retreat for Strategic Planning Session are as follow:
Proposal to change Association Name from Malaysia Dental Dealers Association (MDDA) to Malaysia Dental Industry Association (MDIA)
VISION: To bring professionalism, respect and ethics to the dental industry in Malaysia.
MISSION: To ensure the benefits of modern, innovative technology and reliable dental material & devices and services are delivered effectively and ethically to provide and improve better oral health outcomes to the
Malaysian community at large.
OBJECTIVE 1: To unite all members of dental industry in a common endeavor to develop dental industry in Malaysia for the benefit of the members.
OBJECTIVE 2: To assist and uphold the member benefits and rights in terms of industrial, business relationship, disputes, social economy, legal and regulatory matters.
OBJECTIVE 3: To conduct and co-ordinate training and education for the dental industry.
OBJECTIVE 4: To represent, communicate and collaborate with the relevant ministries and various associations on all matters related to the dental industry.
OBJECTIVE 5: To organise conferences, seminars, workshops and trade exhibitions related to dental industry and obtain the approval of CPD points from the relevant authorities.
OBJECTIVE 6: To represent and promote Malaysia dental industry and the association regionally and internationally.
OBJECTIVE 7: To assist members to obtain funds and grants for business operation and expansion.
OBJECTIVE 8: To provide and organise voluntary activities, charitable work and community welfare.
